Zachar Bron

Prize-winner in many international competitions - among them the international Queen Elizabeth in Brussels and the Wieniawski in Poznan – was born in 1947 in Uralsk. After beginning his studies at the Stoliarski School for Music, he continued under the guidance of Boris Goldstein at the Gnessin Conservatory in Moskow. Professor Bron then moved onto the Tschaikovsky Conservatory where he entered Igor Oistakh's class, soon becoming his assistant. Zakhar Bron has not only achieved excellence as a soloist, but has proved himself to be an accomplished instructor as well. His unique talent as a teacher has won him positions at the Musikhochschule Lübeck, the Glinka Conservatory in Novosibirsk, the Royal Academy of Music in London as well as the Reina Sofia School in Madrid. The great demand for his lectures and master classes across the world speak for themselves. There is hardly a major musical city in Japan, Europe or America today that has not profited from the unique teaching methods of Zakhar Bron, and his students can regularly be found among the winners of the important international competitions.
