Was born
on 1963 in Gävle/Sweden. After his studies at the Royal Academy for Music in
Stockholm he started working with the Oslo Philarmonic Orchestra in Norway
where he was solotrombonist from 1987 until 1990. He continued in the same
position with Stockholm Philarmonic Orchestra 1990-1995 in Sweden and with
Bamberger Symphony-Orchestra 1992-1993. He received the first prize in the
trombone competitions in Genf 1988 and ARD Wettbewerb 1989. Jonas Bylund is
also member of the brassquintet "Stockholm Chamber Brass". He is
currently professor at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover/Germany
