After her studies at the „Franz Liszt“ Music Academy in Weimar she started her career as an opera-singer at the Städtische Bühnen Erfurt, where she was a permanent guest from 1963-1965, followed by an engagement at the „Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar“ from 1965-1989. 1968-1978 she had contracts with the „Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin“ as permanent guest in the parts of  „Susanna“, „Blonde“, „Queen Schemacha“, „Nanette“, „Musette“, - and also with the „Staatsoper Dresden“ (1972-1978) as „Adele“ and „Susanna“. She made many recordings for radio and TV. Concert-tours to Brüssel, Antwerpen, Havanna, Praha, Bulgarien and so on. 1977 Kunstpreis (artist awars) of the town of Weimar. 1978 title „Kammersändgerin“. Pedagogical activities since 1974 at the Music-Academy Weimar. 1988 Professor for singing at the Music-Academy Weimar.
