Born in
Poland, studied at the Conservatory of Moskau under David Oistrakh and Boris
Belenkij. After finishing his studies Kostecki moved to Germany in 1972, where
he worked as concertmaster in many important german Orchestras. In 1991
Kostecki become professor for violin at the Musikhochschule Hannover. Concerts,
numerous CD's and broadcasting records underline his ability as a soloist
performer. In recent years he has given international master classes and has
also served as member of the jury in international music competitions.
