Wolfgang Manz

 

Has proved to be one of  Germany's most distinguished and successful pianists of the young generation, having won prestigious prizes in the world's most important piano competitions. He has played with at least 70 orchestras in Western Europe and actually performed in more than 400 concerts. His repertoire is very big including about 45 piano concerts and a lot of solo and chamber music with a wide range from Bach to Schönberg. Wolfgang Manz studied in the high school of music where he accomplished himself as concert pianist from 1997 til 1986. Manz has also studies composition. In 1994 Wolfgang Manz took over a teaching position at the University of Music in Karlsruhe. Some of his students have won prizes in prestigious piano competitions. Apart from this, Manz has founded - together with his companion Rolf Plagge – a successful piano duet, actually doing a lot of CD productions.
