Alexey Martynov

 

Was born in Moscow. Got his musical education as a violinist at the Gnessins Institute and as a singer at the Moscow Consrvatoire (class of Prof. G. Titz). Martynov became known first as a brilliant performer of the Oratorio-Symphonic music, having sang in more than 70 compositions - from Bach, Mozart, Haydn to Stravinsky and Schnittke. In the end of the 80-s the singer made his opera debut: "Pirate" by Bellini, in the “Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theatre productions, Moscow; "Traviata" by Verdi in the National Czech Theatre production. After that the singer worked with the best Russian Opera Companies. Alexey Martynov participated in many International Music Festivals. He toured of Europe, USA, Japan, Korea etc.
