Born in
Rostov on the Don (Russia), graduated from the Music Academy at St. Petersburg
as pianist and composer (class of Prof. Nikolaev). He has performed as soloist
and has an international reputation as chamber musician. He has performed with
artists such as Jewgenij Nesterenko (Russia), Elena Obraszowa (Russia), Bella
Rudenko (Russia), Alibeck Dnischew (Kazakhstan), Maria Bijeschu (Mosdavia),
Madi Mesplay (USA), Jessye Norman (USA). He is the first performer of a number
of works by Schostakowitsch. „Shenderovitch has the best taste, the most
sensitive understanding of the content of the works he plays…“ wrote the famous
composer. For many years Shenderovitch was professor at the Music Academy of
St. Petersburg and Moskow, since 1991 he lives in Israel and is at the moment
professor at the Music Academies in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
