Born in
Donezk (The Ukraine), he studied at the local music school, where he had
performances on radio and TV. From 1965 to 1970 he studied at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory
in Moscow. Lev Oborin and Jakov Milstein were his teachers. He graduated as a
concert piano player, solo accompanist and music teacher. He taught at the
Odessa music university, worked as a soloist and accompanist at the Moscow
philharmonic society and continued with his teaching at the central music
school for gifted children of the Moscow Conservatory. At the same time he had
concerts in the former USSR and foreign countries. He also had performances on
the radio and TV. In 1991 Kolmanowitsch moved to Germany. He is now living in
Hannover and gives numerous concerts.
