Born in
Moscow, she studied the piano at the Minsk central music university. Prof.
Flier was her teacher at the Tchaikovsky-Conservatory in Moscow. She received
her diploma as a piano teacher and her concert exam in 1963. Until 1965 she
taught at the Minsk central music university. From 1965 to 1981 she worked as a
soloist and accompanied the Moscow state philharmonic as a piano player. She
had numerous concerts with Gidon Kremer, Vladimir Spivakov and Natalia Gutman
in all the republics of the former USSR. In 1978 she received her diploma at
the international Tchaikovsky-Competition. Since then she has taught at the
"Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover" and had concerts in
Germany and West Europe. In 1985 Julia Madatova became professor at the
"Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover". She has had music
recordings for TV and radio (NDR, WDR, ZDF).
